Yangon - Mandalay Expy, Myanmar (Burma)

A major pit stop for many bus operators of Yangon-Mandalay route, including JJ Express. It gets crowded and is always full house on holiday eve due to high traveling demand. Order your food fast as buses stop for 30 minutes only. Set timer on your phone the moment you get off the bus!

Pit stop for lunch. This restaurant reminds me of a typical Peranakan restaurant back home. Here are some dishes which I identify as Babi Pongteh (Stew pork) Beef Rendang (Spicy beef stew) Assam Pedas (Spicy fish stew) Chicken Korma (Coriander Chicken) And a ton of other traditional Myanmarese dishes and desserts which I totally enjoy It's presentation reminds me of the tok panjang (long table) when the whole family comes over for Sunday dinners I really should start learning the names of these dishes soon Given that this is a rest stop, the cleanliness is impressive.even the washrooms.

Good place to eat during stopover. Fried chicken is good. Strawberry lepyo is too sweet for me.
